Ways to Create a Legacy
The tremendous donation by Ray McFeetors has been instrumental in ensuring the construction of McFeetors Hall. To ensure that the students and citizens of Winnipeg who will be living in the Residence have a complete residence experience, the University needs to continue fund-raising.

JOIN THE COMMITTEE

“Hi my name is April Morton and I lived in residence from 1982-1985. This was one of the greatest experiences I had while attending University. It was hugely beneficial due to the fact that I was from a rural community and I was not as familiar with the city. This reduced my stress a lot as I lived right on campus and could have full access without trying to find my way around the city, too. More importantly I meet so many fabulous people who later became good friends. Due to the variety of people living in residence there was always someone around to help with assignments, answer any questions etc. The party’s were fun too!! It was a very memorable experience and I would highly recommend it. This new facility is so beautiful and spacious with great lounge areas. This way you are right downtown, close to facilities and you can take in all the great Wesmen teams. We would often all go over and watch the volleyball and basketball teams play. It truly is an experience of a lifetime and adds a whole other dimension to University life and you develop long lasting friendships!!”

Our fundraising committee is looking for former residents who share their passion. This committee, which currently consists of Hon Chair, Ray McFeetors '68, Pat Armstrong '68, Steve Coppinger '71, Ken Grower '70, Bob Minaker '68, April Morton '86, Bruce Ormiston '68 , Jane Romio '85, Helen Whetter '67 and John Restall '69, is dedicated to raising funds to furnish the rooms of McFeetors Hall. With your first-hand experience of the benefits of residence living you can inspire others to help continue the exciting legacy of residence life for generations to come.
